ASTM A36 Equal Angle Steel

ASTM A36 angle steel, commonly known as angle iron, is a long steel bars with two sides perpendicular to each other. There are ASTM A36 equal angle steel and unequal ASTM A36 angle steel. Both sides of an ASTM A36 equal steel angle have the same width. Its specifications are expressed in millimeters of side width x side width x side thickness. For example, “∟40 × 40 × 5” means equil ASTM A36 angle steel with a width of 40 mm and a thickness of 5 mm. It can also be expressed by the model, which is the number of centimeters of side width, such as ∟3 #. The model number does not indicate the size of different side thicknesses in the same model. Therefore, the side width and side thickness dimensions of ASTM A36 angle steel must be filled in on the contract and other documents.
