What're the differences between EN 10025-5 S235J2W steel and S235J2 steel?

 EN10025-5 S235J2W steel is mainly used in hard weather owning to its property for resisting corrosion. With the minimum yield strength 235 Mpa,and the tensile strength for the thickness below 100mm shall be within 360 to 510 Mpa.

S235J2 grade is a non-alloy structural steels and falls in Part 2 of the EN 10025 specification. The ‘S’ denotes a ‘structural steel’ with a yield strength of 235 MPa. The ‘J2’ designation confirms that the material has undergone a Charpy V-notch impact test at 27 joules at the temperature of -20°C.

EN10025-5 S235J2W weathering steel is especially intended for use in welded bolted and riveted components, which shall have enhanced resistance to atmospheric corrosion.

 

EN 10025-5 S355J2WP weather-resistant steel coil

EN 10025-5 S355J2WP grade is a weather-resistant steel with improved atmospheric corrosion resistance. S355J2WP steel sheets shall be done impacting test at -20°C with the minimum energy 27 J.
