ASME SA36 Steel Plates Dimension

SA36 material is an American standard carbon structural steel. The implementation of the standard ASME SA36 / SA36M-03a. ASME SA36 steel plates are applied to bridge and construction riveted, bolted and welded structures, and general purpose structural steel quality carbon steel section steel, steel plate and bar steel.
Tensile strength of SA36 material is 400-550MPa; Yield strength is greater than or equal to 250MPa;
Equivalent to GB / T 699 carbon structural steel Q235.

Difference Between ASTM A36 Steel and ASME SA36 Steel

A36 and SA36 both refer to the same grade of American Standard, which are carbon structural steel plates, similar to national standard Q235, but the implementation standards of these two grades are different.
SA36 steel implemented standard: ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers)
A36 steel implementation standard: ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials) (ASTM, formerly the International Association for Testing Materials, IATM)}
The ASME standard SA36 / SA36M is identical to the ASTM standard A36 / A36M-05 except for the revised 7.2.
